Booking a Vegas Vacation?

So my 2 friends and I are trying to book a trip to Vegas for August 17-22 2009 and am trying to go through the different sites (Priceline, Expedia, etc) to find the best rate. At this point, we’ve all said that we would like to stay at the MGM Grand because it looks to be affordable and I want to get a good first Vegas experience so I definitely do not want to stay off the strip.

Anyways, the main thing I would help with is finding the best flight+hotel package. Priceline had the best price but I keep reading about things people don’t know like about it so I am a little weary booking from them. Any help finding the best deal would be appreciated. Our travel plans were three adults, one room at the MGM Grand. Flight leaving from St Louis August 17th to Las Vegas and returning on the 22nd. Flight times are pretty flexible so I’m just looking for the cheapest way there and back.

advice on a trip to las vegas?

me and my partner are planning to get married in vegas (we are uk). we are going to book a flight and hotel package and arrange the wedding when we get there.

i want to spend a week in vegas then travel to the grand canyon for a few days then back to lake mead for a few days then back to vegas for our return flight. my question is, would we be better off to book it all here from england, or is it easy to book once we are there?

i have been told that you cant beat the americans for hospitality and customer service, i have never been to the US but i believe this to be true. so i thought that probaby the hotel where we stay will be very helpful in planning the rest of our trip. i also thought this might be cheaper – we are on a bit of a budget and we only have two weeks holiday so probably about 10 days actual holiday time.

anyone have any advice please :)

im trying to plan my vacation for feb. im going back to koh samui, thailand (USM) for up to a month. i would really like to stop in tokyo, i prefer stop there first because it shorten my flying time, but flights are really expensive to detour.. what are some options for me? i’ve been looking and its cheaper to buy my flights seperate than a multi destination package.. that is stupid, its suppose be cheaper if spending more!!

Is Seoul Korea worth seeing ? i seen a few flight options where i can have a 12 layover there. i heard 1 hour from airport to city. so 2 hours travel time back and forth to airport, and have be back 3 hours before flight so that leaves me 7 hours to see city ? is it worth this option ?? what do i do in this time frame ?

We’re actually going to L.A. for a week in August, but I couldn’t use my frequent flyer miles to get there. Instead, we’re flying into Vegas and driving to L.A. I figured we might as well get a little taste of sin city while we’re there. We’ll fly in late on Saturday, stay two nights and head over to L.A. about 5pm Monday. Anyway, not a whole lot of time.

I’m hoping some of you could help me cut the list of things to see down a bit. We’re staying at Treasure Island, basically because I got a great package and it seemed to be in the center of everything.

We’ll gamble a little but are mostly interested in the bright lights, fun, and alcohol.

Here’s what I have so far:
            Fountains at Bellagio
            Volcano at Mirage
            Stratosphere Rides
            TI Pirate Show
            Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat
Star Trek Invasion?- Is this worth the price?

Looking for cheap things to do, see, drink, and eat, as well as general stuff not to miss.
