I am from America, traveling from Detroit to London. I have found packages that allegedly start at 900 dollars for hotel and air, but after going to the checkout screen, after taxes and fees, it ends up around $1,400. Now, I know about all the tricks like using the Piccadilly Line to travel into London to save money, and using the Eurostar to go to Paris. However, going to London, how much would I need there, assuming I would go to pubs/clubs, museums, historical sites, eat out, etc?
I think at the most, I could part with $3,000, but I’m more willing to do it for $2,000. That hotel and airfare is a killer though. I know there will be additional charges for the visa and OTHER things.
Should I just wait for the exchange rates to go down before considering a London trip? My backup plan is Las Vegas with my friend this summer, it would be MUCH cheaper, and I like cheap. I’m not planning on gambling much. I sowed my wild oats with that years ago, it won’t be a problem.

package that includes hotel and airfare. plan on staying at the bellagio and hoping not to spend an arm and a leg. I know of a few companies like expedia and priceline….but whose the cheapest and most reliable?
This is for morons like AJ and ZCT…I didnt say I couldnt afford the Bellagio. Each website gives you a different price for the package and I was trying to find out who was cheaper. I did the leg work myself, thanks for nothing and here is what I found so far….
the cheapest is USAirwaysvacations.com at $1325.40 for two people
the most expensive is orbitz.com at $1,763.00 for two people

After a handshake at graduation, only memories will tie Buckeyes
To graduate is a subtle thing. Despite the Pomp and Circumstance, dress shoes and gathering of family and friends, the act is as simple as a handshake and a smile. Just as history lasts the blink of an eye and the future stretches on in interminable fashion, so will end my and several hundred other Buckeyes’ tenures at The Ohio State University when we graduate at the end of the quarter.
