Should I buy a package deal to Las Vegas?

Which would be cheaper, a package trip to Vegas through priceline or expedia or should I book everything separately?
I’m going to Vegas in August. Staying at Rio. Leaving Sunday August 2, and coming home Thursday August 6.
Thanks.

You should try it both ways and see what you come up with. I have always done better booking the flight and hotel myself but then again, I have know Vegas very well and am a sesoned traveler. If you have little or no knowledge of a place you may be better off letting a service handle it for you. I have often found airline and hotel offerings far superior to what services offer.
The Rio is very nice but it is not on the Strip. I only Stay at hotels right where I want to be. Below are some promo codes for the Rio. If you got this kind of price from a service, you did well, if not you could have done better.

Nah, Vegas is so cheap these days there really is no point.
Sure, you many get a slighty better deal booking a package. But the problem with packages is that you have no flexbilty. You really cant cancel or change anything. When you book them seperatly, at least you have the option to change things around if you have to.
Check with Rio directly to see if the best deals
I would book flight and hotel separately in order to get the best price. For flights I often use kayak.com and for hotel room offers I recommend to check http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com – it has the latest hotel promotions available.
It can go either way … cheaper package deal or seperately. Here is a site that shows how to compare apples to apples to get the best price. Being flexible is the best way to get the lowest price. You seem to be set in your plans so you will not get the lowest prices but still do what they say.
