Season of the Witch (Blu-ray)
Recommended THE FILM: Good ole Nicolas Cage; second only to Samuel L. Jackson as the hardest working man in Hollywood. Before I begin this review for Season of the Witch , I must confess I have a soft spot for Mr. Cage. No matter the material, he makes it better, and anyone who calls him a shoddy actor hasn’t seen Leaving Las Vegas or Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans . This film, from no …

Radical changes. To affect real change, NBA owners and players alike will need to make major concessions to improve the product and to realize their aim for a global brand. This is never going to happen, but it is fun to dream. For this exercise, I took some of the better ideas from two of the best sports leagues in the world—the NFL and the EPL (English Premier League). Task 1 – Team …

You wouldn’t have thought when Kevin Anderson arrived at the beginning of the 2010 football season that the new Maryland athletic director would be overseeing coaching searches for football and men’s basketball – all in his first year. But that’s what happened, with Randy Edsall and Mark Turgeon (right) taking over in College Park.

I am from America, traveling from Detroit to London. I have found packages that allegedly start at 900 dollars for hotel and air, but after going to the checkout screen, after taxes and fees, it ends up around $1,400. Now, I know about all the tricks like using the Piccadilly Line to travel into London to save money, and using the Eurostar to go to Paris. However, going to London, how much would I need there, assuming I would go to pubs/clubs, museums, historical sites, eat out, etc?

I think at the most, I could part with $3,000, but I’m more willing to do it for $2,000. That hotel and airfare is a killer though. I know there will be additional charges for the visa and OTHER things.

Should I just wait for the exchange rates to go down before considering a London trip? My backup plan is Las Vegas with my friend this summer, it would be MUCH cheaper, and I like cheap. I’m not planning on gambling much. I sowed my wild oats with that years ago, it won’t be a problem.

So my 2 friends and I are trying to book a trip to Vegas for August 17-22 2009 and am trying to go through the different sites (Priceline, Expedia, etc) to find the best rate. At this point, we’ve all said that we would like to stay at the MGM Grand because it looks to be affordable and I want to get a good first Vegas experience so I definitely do not want to stay off the strip.

Anyways, the main thing I would help with is finding the best flight+hotel package. Priceline had the best price but I keep reading about things people don’t know like about it so I am a little weary booking from them. Any help finding the best deal would be appreciated. Our travel plans were three adults, one room at the MGM Grand. Flight leaving from St Louis August 17th to Las Vegas and returning on the 22nd. Flight times are pretty flexible so I’m just looking for the cheapest way there and back.
